Other manufacturers have their own dark systems but this one is by far the classiest. I thought it would be gimmicky and hard to read, but it turns out it’s attractive and easy to use. I’ll be honest, I didn’t think I was going to like Dark Mode. You can also pick a custom schedule, choosing the time it goes between states. When you choose Dark you can then pick for it to stay Dark all the time or switch to dark at sunset and back at sunrise. You just go to Settings, Display and Brightness and then choose Light or Dark Mode. App developers can even schedule dark mode in their apps to turn on at sunset, for instance, or at another time. Also good about the whole thing is that app developers can integrate Dark Mode into their apps so that the iPhone has a consistent look. It’s not for everyone, but it’s pretty neat. It makes the whole interface look chic and somehow smarter. This is one of the biggest features, designed to make the iPhone’s interface less glaring in a low-light environment, for instance.
